1980 S2 11A PARAGON
Motivated seller!! Interesting incentives for boat sale, storage and service. Why not switch to sailing? With record high fuel costs, this boat has it all for cruising and racing enjoyment on the Great Lakes or anywhere this summer.
This lovely sailboat, named “PARAGON”, can handle any big weather the Great Lakes pitches at her. She is nicely appointed below and shows off her teak interior well. Paragon is currently on the hard in Racine, she has sailed in freshwater all her life. This is PARAGON's third owner.
This S211A is conveniently designed as an aft cockpit boat that allows ample room for entertaining post-sail. She also carries a great PHRF (non-spin) rating for racing of 174. A full teak interior features a large U-shaped galley which makes room for a center line dining table and plenty of seating for your hungry crew all through the cold months of sailing. Of special note is a above galley cabinet accessible from both the galley and salon. There is also a settee berth, quarter berth, generous head space and a roomy Vee berth forward. Teak and holly cabin soles, four opening ports, three overhead hatches and two vents offer excellent fresh air flow, natural lighting and a feeling of airiness. The ceiling is covered in a smooth carpet material designed in a cool, grey- beige color.
Above deck, there is no moisture along chain plates…always good to know about any prospective boat purchase. The large Navigation station actually holds loads of navigation equipment and is easy to access. The hanging lockers allow for not only PFD storage, but a long distance cruise wardrobe:) On board, the non-skid diamond deck is S2's “calling card” and prevents slipping on decks. There is a built-in anchor locker forward, SS bow and stern pulpit, plus a safety ladder at the stern. Cradle included. A well-stocked supply of dishware and cookware included along with other galley accessories. All in all, she is a good choice for a step up, larger sailboat for cruising and racing.
